Prerequisites Admin role on a new Buzzscribed tenant
In a nutshell: Platform mode controls which menu items and features are visible across the tenant. Four modes are available: Pitch, Report, Campaign and Business. Business is the full set. Mode is a tenant-level setting, so all users see the same navigation structure. Start with Business if unsure; the choice is reversible and changes no data.
The four modes
- Pitch
- The lightest mode. A short flat menu for media outreach: Outlets, Pitching, Mail. Suited to a tenant focused purely on media-relations work.
- Report
- Adds the reporting and coverage layer. Three dropdown groups: PITCH, TRACK, REPORT.
- Campaign
- Adds campaign building and planning. Four groups: CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK, REPORT.
- Business
- The full platform. Five groups: BUSINESS, CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK, REPORT. Adds Sales Pipeline, Account Management, Finance & Invoicing, Client EDM. Default choice for a PR agency.
The page names are identical across modes; mode just controls which appear.
How to change the mode
- Open Tenant Admin (THE HIVE > Tenant Admin, available to Admin and Power users).
- Go to the Account Setup tab.
- Select Platform Mode.
- Choose the mode that fits the agency's primary workflow.
- Save. The navigation updates immediately for every user in the tenant.
How to pick
- A full-service agency running commercial agreements, retainers and finance through Buzzscribed wants Business mode.
- A media-relations specialist doing pitching only can run on Pitch mode.
- An analyst-led team primarily generating client reports can run on Report mode.
- If unsure: start with Business. The full menu is available; the team can narrow later once usage patterns are clear.
Frequently asked
- Does changing mode delete data?
- No. Campaigns, contacts, reports, agreements -- all stay intact. Mode only controls visibility.
- Can different users see different modes?
- Mode is a tenant-level setting; every user sees the same menu structure. Per-user differences come from the role (Admin / Power / User), not from the mode.
- Can the mode be changed later?
- Yes, at any time. Tenant Admin > Account Setup > Platform Mode.
