Navigation Guide

In a nutshell: Buzzscribed shapes the menu around how you work -- pick a mode (Pitch, Report, Campaign or Business) and the platform shows you the matching set of dropdown groups: BUSINESS, CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK and REPORT. Pitching and coverage pages run one Story at a time through the Story Selector at the top of the page; pick a Story once and the same context follows you across every related page.

What you will learn

  • How modes (Pitch / Report / Campaign / Business) shape the menu you see.
  • The five dropdown groups in Business mode and the pages inside each.
  • How the Story Selector scopes pitching and coverage pages to one Story at a time.
  • Where THE HIVE lives and what it carries.
  • How the navigation adapts on a phone.

The mental model

Buzzscribed gives you the menu that fits your job. A media-relations specialist works mostly with outlets and pitches; an account director runs commercial relationships as well. Both can use the same platform without wading through menus that do not apply.

That choice is the mode. A smaller mode (Pitch) keeps the bar short and focused. A bigger mode (Business) opens up the full set of dropdown groups. Page names stay the same throughout -- mode just decides how much of the product is in view.

The other anchor is the Story Selector. Pitching and coverage pages run one Story at a time, so they all start with the same question: which Story? Pick it once and the answer carries across every related page in your session.

The four modes

The navigation bar in Business mode. The set of items depends on the mode your account is in.
  • Pitch -- the lightest mode. A short flat menu for media outreach: Outlets, Pitching and Mail. Ideal for specialists who live in the pitch flow.
  • Report -- adds the reporting and coverage tracking layer. Three dropdown groups: PITCH, TRACK, REPORT.
  • Campaign -- adds campaign building and planning. Four groups: CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK, REPORT.
  • Business -- the full platform: five groups (BUSINESS, CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK, REPORT) including commercial workflows like Sales Pipeline, Account Management, Finance & Invoicing and EDM.

What lives in each group (Business mode)

GroupWhat it is forPages inside
BUSINESSThe commercial side -- clients, marketing email, sales pipeline, agreements, finance.Clients & Brands, Email Direct Marketing, Gated Content, Sales Pipeline, Account Management, Engagement Hub, Finance & Invoicing, Service Finder, Media Library
CAMPAIGNBuilding and planning the work.Campaign Builder, Activity Calendar, Engagement Hub, BUZZShare Files, BUZZVox Surveys
PITCHReaching media.Email Pitching, Telephone Pitching, Media Outlets, Talent Directory, Exclusion Register
TRACKWatching results come in.Bookings & Coverage, Story Performance, NewsWire Analytics, Mail Dashboard, Mail Management
REPORTTurning results into client output.Media Clips, Reporting, Report Designer, Meltwater Data Manager, Award Entries

A handful of items only appear when the matching feature is switched on for your account -- Account Management, Engagement Hub, BUZZVox Surveys, Gated Content, Sales Pipeline, Finance and the Talent Directory all light up on demand. If you cannot see something you expected, ask an Admin whether the feature is enabled for your tenant.

The Story Selector

Pitching and coverage pages -- Email Pitching, Telephone Pitching, Bookings & Coverage, Exclusion Register, Media Clips and others -- work on one Story at a time. They share the same control at the top of the page for choosing it.

[Screenshot placeholder -- top of the Email Pitching page with the Story Selector open: a search box, an "Include Completed" checkbox, and a grid of Story cards.]
The Story Selector. Type to search, pick a card, and the page reloads scoped to that Story.
  1. Type into the search box -- it filters by Story title or Client name.
  2. Tick Include Completed if the Story you want is already Done; by default the list shows the ones still in flight.
  3. Pick a card (or use the dropdown). The page reloads scoped to that Story.

The selection is held server-side, so when you move from Email Pitching to Bookings & Coverage the same Story stays in context. That also means it is shared across the browser tabs you have open -- change the Story in one tab and every other tab follows.

Try this: Open Email Pitching, pick your live Story in the Story Selector, then switch to Bookings & Coverage. Notice the same Story is already loaded -- one decision, many pages.

THE HIVE, settings and support

THE HIVE sits top-right of every page, next to Logout. It carries three tabs: PREFERENCES (display and notification settings), ASK SUPPORT (raise and follow up support requests) and LEARNING CENTRE (these articles). Admins and Power users also see a Tenant Admin link from here for team and account setup. The headset icon up near the top of the page is a shortcut straight to the support tab.

On a phone

On a narrow screen the bar folds into a hamburger toggle. The same modes, groups and pages are there -- just stacked vertically. The Story Selector becomes a compact dropdown. Buzzscribed is built primarily for desktop, but a phone is enough to check in on results, confirm bookings and triage your inbox while you are on the move.

Worked example: launch morning, the navigation rhythm

Embargo lifts at 06:00. You log in at 06:30 in Business mode.

  1. You land on Home. A glance at the activity feed confirms overnight pickups.
  2. PITCH > Email Pitching. The Story Selector is already on "Globex Wellbeing Index 2026" from yesterday. Your tiered pitch list is ready. You send.
  3. TRACK > Bookings & Coverage. Same Story, still in context. A journalist agrees to interview mid-morning -- you log the booking here.
  4. TRACK > Story Performance. The CQI and Success Score build as coverage lands.
  5. End of day: REPORT > Reporting. Generate a launch-day snapshot and share it with Globex through the Client portal.

One Story chosen at the start. Everything after that flows through the same scoped context.

Frequently asked

I cannot find a page I know exists. Where is it?
Two likely explanations. First, you may be in a smaller mode -- Pitch and Report show fewer groups than Business. Second, the page may be feature-gated for your tenant (Account Management, Engagement Hub, Finance, Talent Directory, Sales Pipeline, BUZZVox Surveys and Gated Content all activate when switched on). An Admin can check both.
The Story Selector does not show the Story I want.
By default it lists Stories that are still in flight. Tick Include Completed to bring Done Stories back into the list.
Why does the page reload when I change Story?
Because the content -- pitches, bookings, coverage -- belongs to one Story at a time. The reload is the page fetching scoped data for the Story you just picked.
Can I work on two Stories in two tabs in parallel?
The selected Story is held on the server for your session, so all your tabs share it. To compare two Stories side by side, do it through reports rather than two live working tabs.
Where are my personal settings?

Key takeaways
  • Navigation is mode-based. Pitch is flat and focused; Business unlocks the full five groups (BUSINESS, CAMPAIGN, PITCH, TRACK, REPORT).
  • Page names stay the same across modes -- mode just decides how much of the platform is on the bar.
  • The Story Selector scopes pitching and coverage pages to one Story; the selection follows you across pages and across tabs.
  • Tick Include Completed to bring Done Stories back into the picker.
  • THE HIVE (top-right) carries preferences, support and the Learning Centre. Admin and Power users also reach Tenant Admin from there.
