Prerequisites Admin or Power role; at least one agreement in Account Management
In a nutshell: Finance & Invoicing is the invoicing and receivables hub for Admin and Power users. Four tabs -- SUMMARY , INVOICING , RECEIVABLES , PURCHASE ORDERS -- cover the cash side of the business: raise invoices from line items, record payments, chase overdue receivables (manually or with the per-invoice Auto Reminder), and track purchase orders for supplier spend. Fees set on the agreement, hours from timesheets, and Engagement Hub for margin all feed in; Finance turns them into the invoices that fund the work.
What you will learn
What Finance & Invoicing is built for and how it complements Account Management and Engagement Hub.
The four tabs: SUMMARY, INVOICING, RECEIVABLES, PURCHASE ORDERS.
How invoices work -- line items, recording payments, reminders, the missing-PDF warning.
Where fees, costs and utilisation live across the platform.
The mental model: invoices, receivables, supplier spend
Open Finance & Invoicing from the BUSINESS menu. The page is built around three jobs: invoices you raise, receivables (what clients owe you and how overdue), and purchase orders for money you spend with external suppliers. Admin and Power users can open the page; standard User accounts focus on delivery work elsewhere in the platform.
Finance sits downstream of two upstream sources:
Account Management -- where the retainer or project fee is set on the agreement. Finance reads the agreed fee and turns it into an invoice.
Timesheets -- where internal time and cost flow in. Finance reads time-based costs alongside the agreed fee.
For retainer utilisation (hours used against budget) and per-retainer margin, Engagement Hub is the page. Finance focuses on the cash conversion: agreed fees become invoices, invoices become receipts, supplier spend tracks as purchase orders.
Acme PR Corp invoices the Globex retainer monthly through this page; Mr Widget Ltd's project fees and Northwind Outdoor Co's quarterly retainer run through the same surface.

The SUMMARY tab: Financial Summary, Receivables Analysis with aging buckets, Open Invoices (with per-invoice auto-reminder toggles), and Campaigns In Progress.
The four tabs
SUMMARY
The dashboard view. Carries a Financial Summary card, a Receivables Analysis card with aging buckets (0-30 / 31-60 / 61-90 / over 90 days), an Open Invoices list with a per-invoice Auto Reminder toggle and reminder history, and a Campaigns In Progress section showing where the cash is.
INVOICING
Where you raise and manage invoices. Search by client, Story name or invoice number, or browse by agreement (with an Include Closed toggle). Open an invoice to edit it, add or change line items, and drive the lifecycle forward.
RECEIVABLES
The collections view -- issued invoices and what is outstanding. Searchable by invoice number or company name, with actions to record payments and send reminders.
PURCHASE ORDERS
POs for external supplier spend tied to an agreement. Search by PO number, invoice, client or supplier; record payments as they go out. Same Admin and Power access as the rest of the page.
Working with invoices
Line items. Each invoice is a set of line items. Add, edit and remove lines as the scope evolves.
Record a payment. When a client pays, use Record Payment against the invoice. Receivables and aging buckets update automatically.
Send a reminder. Manual reminder action on overdue invoices, plus a per-invoice Auto Reminder toggle -- flip it on and Buzzscribed sends the configured reminder stages on the schedule you set in Tenant Admin > Templates. Reminder history is one click away on every invoice.
Missing PDF warning. Invoices missing their PDF file flag with a warning triangle and a running count at the top of the list. Regenerate or re-attach to clear the warning.
Attach invoice PDF. When emailing an invoice or a statement, the Attach Invoice PDF option includes the document in the message.
Try this: On the SUMMARY tab, find an invoice in Open Invoices and flip its Auto Reminder toggle on. Open the reminder-history button next to it to see what has gone out and when. If the page prompts that reminder templates are not configured yet, head to THE HIVE > Tenant Admin > Templates and set them up -- one configuration powers every future auto-reminder.
How fees, costs and utilisation flow across the platform
Finance is one of four surfaces that together carry the commercial picture:
Account Management > Agreements -- where retainer and project fees are set, on the agreement's line items.
Timesheets -- where internal time and cost flow in as the team logs hours against Stories.
Engagement Hub -- where retainer utilisation (hours used vs budget) and per-retainer margin live.
Finance & Invoicing -- this page. Turns agreed fees and recorded costs into invoices, tracks what is owed, and runs supplier spend through POs.
Set the fee in Account Management, watch utilisation on Engagement Hub, invoice from Finance. One workflow, four purpose-built surfaces.
